Re: Tell me about fireworks cruises please?
Yes indeed anyone can book them. I don't remember how much they are (but they are pricey, over $100, closer to $200 as I recall).
I've only been on one Special Cruise (as they are called at WDW) and that was as a guest of our dearest Wendy and her DH.
It was on The Grand (the yacht!!) for the Wishes cruise and it was absolutely lovely. The music was piped in so that we didn't miss a thing.
You can phone Disney (I always use the WDW Dine number and have them transfer me to wherever I need to be...) and ask for Play Disney. They will then tell you all about the Specialty Cruises, the boats available (there are several different types) the costs, and the restrictions.
(You can't bring any food or drink on board, but have to order it through them if you wish to have some for your cruise).

Re: Tell me about fireworks cruises please?
hmmmm I'm thinking more like $300 or so nowadays :/
Sometimes it's easier to get the wishes cruise than the illuminations one and although illuminations is my favourite, the wishes cruises tend to take you all over the place first and I enjoyed that
Theyre pretty hard to book since there arent many each night so early booking recommended
We've had some great illuminations cruises but I remember once where the wind wasn't working in our favour and it was very hard to see anything through the smoke. Sooooo although it can be a great experience, it's not a guarantee of a great view

Re: Tell me about fireworks cruises please?
Is it that high now?
I checked last for Herself's birthday and decided not to go with it. They were in the $200's then.
Wind direction is critical for Illuminations!
Did you find that the view was good otherwise, Keith? I've always wondered about that given where the boats idle for the show?Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!
