Re: Mickey's Backyard BBQ
I have seen the barbeque get mixed reviews but we really loved it and are going again this year

The food was basic barbeque type fare - hot dogs, chicken, burgers, baked beans, salad, corn on the cob, corn bread etc. You sit at long picnic tables and just grab somewhere to sit when you get in - although the tables were shared we weren't right on top of other people and felt we had our own space.
Beer, wine and soft drinks are included.
Dessert was a big stars and stripes cake which they did a little ceremony about as they paraded it in.
Entertainment was a cowboy doing tricks with a lassoo(sp?) and a country singer.
There was lots of dancing with the characters.
It was good fun!

Re: Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Is it something we could go to as a couple without kids and just sit there enjoying the atmosphere without having to you know, participate too much

(We did try and book once but since DW forgot the name when she called the reservation line and kept asking for "that backside show thing", perhaps understandably, we didn't manage to get a reservation

Re: Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Definitely Keith

It is quite noisy and definitely not a romantic setting and it is quite rustic - you are 'outside' but under a permanent cover. We weren't dragged up to participate at all. (heaven forbid!!
) The food as I said is basic but fine (similar to Hoop de Doo except you help yourself).

I have some photos (although not of the food) that I will find.
