Garden grill v coral reef?

This one's tough. We can only go to one of these and I have to decide.

Has anyone tried both recently and if so which one was best?

If you want ambiance and so-so food go to coral reef...i wasnt that impressed. The food could be sooooo much better

Havent been to garden grill so I cant comment on that.

Is this a special dinner or just a matter of picking between two favorite places?

If I HAD to pick based on the food I'd probably take the Garden grill, but really neither are favorites of mine food wise

believe it or not, I think we've been just about everywhere EXCEPT those two, so I can't help either!

I've heard bad things about the garden grill recently though :/

I've been to both. Can't say that I would actually go to either again.

Coral Reef. They couldn't find our ADR. The one time I don't have my number with me. They were going to accomodate us but it would be 2 hours. Alysia went out to the car and got my list and we were seated. The food was ok. The service was awful.

Garden Grill. I love the characters. The food was good at the time. However, I got pretty sick not too long after.

There are so many better restaurants at Epcot. I'd look a bit further.

I've never been to the Coral Reef...and the only time I've ever been to the Garden Grille was when they were doing the Ice Cream Social (a moment of silence for its demise )

Personally, I think I'd head over to the WS.

I miss the Ice Cream Social. That was the best deal on property!!!

We've only been once to Coral Reef and quite frankly hated it. The food was dreadful (seafood) and the service was as bad. They get by on their view.

I've heard that it has improved some, but haven't been back as the reports on improvement are sketchy.

Never been to Garden Grill. Never thought the food was too appealing. We always wanted to try the social, but didn't do that either and now it's gone. It was a great deal on property and I don't know why they ended it.

There are many better places in the WS.

We had an ADR at Coral Reef in August 2007.
WE had lunch before the Pirate and Princess Party over at MK.

We were lucky enough to sit right next to the tank and we loved it.
Thought it was very expensive though but the food was nice.

Not been to Garden Grill so can't comment.

We ate at Coral Reef in August and had a nice time. We had a wonderful server and a good view of the tank. Marcus and I both had the steak and Jordan had chicken breast. Food was quite good and the dessert was to die for...had the chocolate wave. We'd go back again. Never been to Garden Grill, though.
