I was raised that if someone provides a service you should tip them. The better the service the higher the tip.
I actually made really nicely decorated envelopes for the mousekeeping tips and will leave at least $1 a day.. more for animals and if my "animals" make a big mess.

Well I always used to leave $2 per person per day but now I know that you don't have to then I'm not going to. What about when you go into the bar at one of the resorts, should you leave a tip when you order like a couple of glasses of wine?

I never tip Mousekeeping. When staying at deluxe property and paying top $$ I expect my room to be tidied each day (not that there is much to do as I admit to being OCD about tidiness when living out a room for two weeks with three other people)
