Is there anywhere i can buy reasonably priced travel insurance if you are waiting for a consultant appointment? i have been told by several firms that my condition will be excluded if we travel-

it's my ear - i've basically had an ear infection since November

So it's not a major life threatening problem and i can't understand how someone with a much more serious complaint can get their thing covered but i can't


help!

Travel insureance is not about sense its about making money for the insurance company - something like your ear problem is far more likley to trigger a clain - albe it small than someone with heart diseaes and therefore will involve them giving out money

How long do you think it will be before you get an appointment? You could always add the condition after if you get some kind of diagnosis

it's not urgent so i don't know - hopefully in the next month or two. Trouble is i don't agree with what the consultant wants to do- i know that sounds pompous but he has met me twice and i've been living with my ear issues for around 20 years. anyway back to the issue

who is a good company for pre existing conditions? do you think it's worth just getting a quote for me and getting the rest of the family on a separate policy?

try nationwide building society
they covered my self and my daughter who both have many pre existing conditions for no extra charge

they do packages on 'dangerous' sports too which others don't include so quite pleased. thanks
