My new scope has arrived ( Now With Pics)

Waited all day Saturday and it didn't arrive so we will be having something back from Mr Parcelforce

It is a thing of beauty and I shall post pics as soon as I can, one I have stopped licking it

It is a thing of beauty it is a 9 1/4 inch carbon fibre schmidt cassegran optical tube ( but you probably knew that anyway) - the white mount is mine

Sorry the pics are so awful but for some reason the flash stopped firing





My 80mm scope ( deep sky) takes in light at about 180x what your eyes do - my old 8 inch takes it in at 800x and this at 1200 x

I will be using this for moon and planet pics

I have to say that I may not have understood any of what it does and how it does it, but I will be happy to reap the benefits of the pretty pictures.
