      Becca, you have captured the essence of the entire show. We've been a couple of times now and I mean this sincerely, your photos make it far more interesting and beautiful than the reality! That's not to disparage the show, only a comment on our thoughts that it wasn't up to its former glory.

      Tink! You've just made me cry in my coffee! Thank you for those lovely words. I understand what you're saying, and I agree (about the "former glory" of the F&G Festival). Over the years, I have definitely seen a drop in the consistency and care given this show (as with so many other things). I guess for me (girl with the black thumb of death) I see so much beauty in even the simplest of flora and fauna because it's something I simply can't accomplish. I am humbled by what they are able to accomplish (even in their "lean" years). Yes, the hydrangeas are my favorite How ever did you know? Jon was taking notes. Unlike me he is incredibly gifted with plant life and is constantly saving the plants I manage to put on the brink of death...he's determined to give me a garden. I love that man.

      Issy, I was surprised to see the giraffes as well!!! Aren't they lovely? I think I have a few more (better) photos of them somewhere down the line....
