What to do without Pleasure Island?
Now that they've closed pleasure island is there anywhere to go in Disney after hours or is it all off site?
We were huge fans of PI

Re: What to do without Pleasure Island?
Hi Disnut. Many adults are bemoaning the fate of PI.
Atlantic Dance and Jellyrolls are two alternatives (both on the boardwalk) but if truth be told?
Many, many people now head to CityWalk for the evening. It detracts from the driving, so cabs would be in order if drinking were going to be done, but loads of folks head there for the dancing, music and clubs.
Depending upon the atmosphere one wants, there are also a couple of clubs in downtown Orlando, but they are pretty audience specific.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Re: What to do without Pleasure Island?
I've always perceived Citywalk as a young singles type of place to be honest. Whereas at PI I would have been happy taking older kids to some of the clubs it's not really something I'd consider doing at Citywalk.
Having said that, I've never been there after dark. It's just the perception I've picked up walking through there.

Re: What to do without Pleasure Island?
Citywalk is not somewhere I would want children to be after a certain time. And most assuredly they won't allow anyone under 21 in most restaurants after 9pm. It has a completely different atmosphere than PI did.

Re: What to do without Pleasure Island?
Citywalk is definitely adult. I'd not want to be there with anyone under 18 after the place gets hopping.
It is an energetic adult night scene though.
The West End thing Johnie is being whispered about as duller than dull.
We'll check it out one day soon and let you know.

Re: What to do without Pleasure Island?
I love the vibe of CityWalk. I love how open it is and how there are different levels. I love the giant stage area and they bands I have heard have all been good.
Last time we went we enjoyed walking around and seeing some of the new (to us) shops and even a tatoo parlor!
But, we're not really the 'club' types so I can't comment on that. We generally go to Pat O'briens for hurricanes and like to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere.

Hmm, a tattoo parlor and liquor widely available....maybe not quite a good match together.
