3 Kids hit Disney - Typhoon Lagoon

Who in their right mind gets up at 7.30am on holiday to go swimming? :erm:

That’ll be us then!
We were on the bus to Typhoon lagoon by 7.45 ready for a splashing day of sun and fun.

It was EMH at TL today so we thought we’d make the most of it and try and get a sunbed.

We paid for our locker and towels and parked ourselves by Crush ‘n’ Gusher. Well I had intended to stay parked but the kids had other ideas and we were soon having our bums pummelled on the C ‘n’ G ride!!!



Flippin’ photopass photographer was at the bottom waiting to capture me in all my glory as I had my hairy holiday legs in the air and nearly fell out of the raft!



I was very brave today and tried every ride in the park. I get a little panicky in water as I wear contacts and I hate being out of my depth but despite a couple of wedgies and nervous moments I thought I did really well!! :thumbs-up

My favourite part has to be the lazy river though. We spent ages on here.
I let the kids go off by themselves for a bit and tried to do some sunbathing.







Wasn’t long before I was back in the water trying to cool off again though. It was very hot again today.







We stopped for lunch at about 11ish as we’d not had breakfast. This DP is fab, I love not handing any money over. However our credit balance is getting very low so we must be coming to the end of our stay. :cry:

We spent some more time floating around together and talking on the lazy river. It was just so relaxing and we didn’t have a care in the world. I need a lazy river in my garden.

It was too hot to be in the sun by early afternoon so we made the most of the quiet shower area and got dressed.

The surf type shop here is fab and very reasonable so DD ended up with some Roxy flip flops and DS had a t-shirt.

We caught the bus to DTD and the bus took us via Saratoga Springs, Swan and Dolphin, and Boardwalk which took an hour or so but it was great to see the other resorts and the bus driver was really friendly.

I love the 'splashy' Photopass photos - we didn't get any as good as that!
Did you all enjoy the waterparks then - 1st visit did you say? We love to swim and thoroughly enjoyed both WPs. Great day X

Yes Sarah it was our first time at any Disney water park last year as the ex said they were a waste of a day.

We go as often as we can while we are there now.
