Weekend trip report

LegoLand Windsor
Friday 8th May
We left at about 4.00pm on Friday after collecting the children from school and getting everything packed in the car, we only went for the weekend with what we packed you would have thought we were going for a week. LOL
Traffic wasn’t too bad until we got to Heathrow and then it got a little busy, took us about 1 ½ to get there, hotel was very nice, large room with 2 double beds. Eldest son was pleased to see the TV as it meant he could watch Britain’s got talent if we were back in time. (Even though he did nothing but moan about the fact it was too small and it didn’t have Sky.)

Once unpacked we decided to pop out for something to eat and to find the local Asda for some bits. Kids wanted McDonalds as they’re not aloud it much. (What is it with kids and McDonalds?)we had dinner and got the bits we needed in Asda went back to our room it was about 9.00 and the kids played games on their laptops and DS’s for a while then went to sleep. Mum and dad weren’t far behind.
Saturday 9th May
Woke up about 8.00am once everyone was up and dressed of we went to LegoLand, it was only 10 mins down the road, we all had a really great day, left at about 6.00pm and went to the local Toby Carvery for dinner. Eldest son was pleased as we got home in time to see Britain’s got talent. Had a nice relaxing evening in the hotel playing games and watching tv.

Sunday 10th May.
Got up at about 8.00am packed everything away, left the hotel about 10am and we went to the local shopping centre in Windsor, and then had a walk to see the castle. We had 2 very tired children so we decided to go home arrived back about 2pm. Kids then spent the next few hours making up the Lego models their got. And mum spent the same time unpacking and doing the washing.
We had a really lovely time.

We had a Legoland annual pass a couple of years ago and went a few times in the year and loved it.

Makes me want to go back now!

It was a really great weekend, We went to Legoland about 7 years ago and we didn't like it that much but it is so much better now and we would go back again.

Amazing things built from Lego! Thanks for sharing the visit with us Lozzy! I've not been of course, but do know some kiddos (and not so young ones at that) in my family who would LOVE to visit there.

This is the first year in 10 that we haven't had an annual pass, makes me miss it when I see the photos!
