Broadband suggestions

Parents are moving to Worthing shortly and will be looking for a new broadband provider.

Nothing fancy, just for email, web browsing and the odd song from itunes. And not too costly.

And suggestions?

Well I find zen the most reliable but also the most pricey

Plus.net now part of bt, second and good value actually

BEST Value is to use one of the services from the companies you already have like sky, orange, o2 etc.

I find plus.net a good compromise position for most people though

i swear by BT - we've had internet from them for 4 years now and touch wood we've only ever lost connection for about 20 mins in all that time.

We've been with BT Internet for as long as I can remember and we've never had a problem with them. And their prices keep going down for some reason. We get a call from the every so often offering us the same package for less money if we agree to another 12 month contract.

We use virgin. When they first switched from ntl they went rubbish but now we have no problem with them.

We're with Virgin too - been with them ever since they were Nynex, then Cable and Wireless, then ntl, and now Virgin. No major problems.

I guess the parents should check which telephone provider wiring is in the house first then take it from there.
