Re: july at disney
Very true it will be hot, hot, hot, so make sure that you drink loads of fluids to avoid dehydration.
We have been to WDW in July and the crowds in the parks seemed to be "average", not over crowded but don`t expect to just walk on to many of the rides!
Make use of the Fastpass system whenever you can to avoid many of the queues.

Re: july at disney
I've been in July a few times and yes it's hot and it's very crowded. Now with the economy maybe it will be less crowded. Definitely use the fast pass system and be prepared to wait. Also, like Mick said, it's very wet. Expect a storm everyday and you will begin to want the rain storm as without it, it seems even hotter. The storms usually come in fast and leave fast.

Re: july at disney
July temperatures are in the 90's but complicated by the humidity which is often over 100. That adds moisture to the air, which makes it darn near impossible to feel cool or comfortable unless you are indoors in the A/C.
You will be hot, and sweaty at all times.
The rain will be most often, harsh thunderstorms with much lightning. Once the storm passes it's hotter and more humid if you can imagine it. You'll see the steam rising from the pavements.
You will need extremely comfortable clothing that you won't mind wearing wet, unless you plan on carrying a poncho every day. (Do plan on that). Your feet will be wet, so be sure to have multiple changes in footwear, unless you have waterproof sandals like Tevas or something along those lines.
You'll need sunscreen of course, and insect repellent.
Forget the mister fans. They simply add more moisture and water to the whle mix, and that doesn't help a bit. They are heavy to carry too.
So, July in Orlando Yep. Been there done that.
You'll want to avoid July 4th (a Saturday/weekend this year) as it is nearly as busy and crowded as Christmas. The parks have been known to close because they've reached capacity. MK is the main one to do so, but EPCOT has, as has DHS (on the fourth).
You'll want to plan your days so that you are out of the parks in the afternoon when the storms start and the heat is the worst. When we took young Max (then six) we did mornings in the park of choice, afternoon for rest and maybe a swim (weather permitting) and evenings in the park.
You'll eat differently, as you will be so hot nothing will sound appealing, so plan on that too.
Salads, and light meals will be the order of the day.
Water, water and more water. Seriously. You'll want to buy your own offsite, and rent a stroller to push it around in.
Hey, it works! LOLOL. Sodas are full of sugar and often caffeine and that isn't something you want to load your body with during such extremes of heat.
If you like to have a drink, be prepared. Beer and wine will knock you for a loop in the heat!
You can visit during the month of July, just have a good plan and stay really flexible.
