We actually have it in Spanish... we also have all the works by Hans Christian aNderson and by the Grimm Brothers... but again, in Spanish

I liked Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates too.

When I got a bit older I loved the short series the Borrowers. I liked Misty of Chincoteague, and Stormy Her Foal too. I've always wanted to go to those islands off the outer banks and see the wild horses!

My grandfather allowed me uncensored access to his library, so as a child I read whatever I pleased. Some of it was well over my head at the time, but it laid the foundation for a lifetime love of books and reading. I'm sure your Tatiana will have that too!

We also had open doors at the library in our house, and my father, although he NEVER read to us, would actually give us extra allowance if we retold him weekly what we had read

My Da didn't either, but did set the example of reading for us. My Grandfather was a great story teller. We preferred that he tell us a story to reading from a book!

It was essentially the same though, eh? Imparting a love of the word.

Heeheeheehee! My 13 year old is the same we all still lay in our bed and read family books together. Well my DH reads and we listen. lol We also have the local libarary at the top of our street which is handy lol

Also, I just remembered that I use to love the Berenstain Bears! There are loads of those!

You know? I looked at that Grover book for Seth for Easter! I ended up not getting that one, but maybe I'll snag it the next time I run across it.
