now there's a question - do you know, i absolutely cannot remember what we did with ours but it was a long time ago so even if i could it's probably changed anyway!

If it is a very small stroller, they sometimes allow you to take them on. But for the most part, you need to leave it behind, which makes the train impractical for many families (if they want to disembark at any point instead of making a full circut).
