I walked through both resorts and definitely like the feel of the French Quarter over the Riverside. I'm not a fan of the south (just my own personality, ya know) and to me, it just felt like I was stuck in the middle of the south, in the middle of nowhere.

I think you will love PORFQ...it was one of or favorite if not favorite places we have stayed onsite. RIverside was nice to see, but it was much larger and we liked the ambiance of the FQ. The pool is nice too. There is a nice walkway to the Riverside along the canal. That was fun to walk to Boatwrights for bite to eat.

I don't think you can go wrong really as whichever you choose you can visit the other ad use the facillities.

We have only stayed at Riverside and we loved it, I personally prefer the theming there over FQ but that is just personal preference and I would happily stay at either, I loved the boat to DTD and the horse and carriage ride (book in advance if possible as it can get very busy) and the bike and boat rental from the resort.

how cool i got a quote from them for juast over 100 quid for 2 nights so looking at some onsite to go for a few days, all the mods look superb to me tho

ive booked everything seperately as we couldnt get flight upgrades so done it all seperate we are paying £518 for 7 days a room at port orleans french quarter which we thought wasnt bad

We stayed at Riverside in 2007 and we loved it and had a lovely walk across to the french quarter and found that smaller, but i'm sure you will like it there.:smile:
