We've used our AA card to get some great AAA rates in the past. I don't bother to mention to the CM when I book that it's an AA card rather than a AAA and have never had a problem. I was told by the AA that as long as it has the ARC Europe Logo on your card you'll be fine.

We've got free dining for a week in September staying at ASM but I was also able to get a general public code discount for our last 3 nights at WL in a courtyard view bunk bed room for $228 which was 25% off the rack rate.
