Re: pop century or all stars?
No! We don't get asked all the time.

I've stayed at both, All Stars (Music and Sports) and Pop Century.
At the end of the day, I liked All Stars better.
Now, having said that, Pop Century is very nice too and if the price is right, I'd go for it. It seems as though the rooms a bit smaller. They may not be; it may only be a matter of the way they are arranged, but that's how it seemed.
I like the food courts at All Stars better, and they have GREAT pool side bartenders.

Re: pop century or all stars?
I've stayed at all star movies, music and pop century
hmmmmmm I like them all! they all have a kind of special energy and excitement to them that other resorts don't have
Now, pop century has a better bus layout and it DID have an inside bar which has apparently now been closed :/ it has a VERY tiny food court. However I really like the pop styling
loads of great old computers, cameras and things around. the rooms are smaller as Tink says but more upto date generally.
I prefer all star movies to music and at ANY of them you can get a room which is miles away, or feels that way, from the front so if thats an issue, pay for a preferred room

Re: pop century or all stars?
I didnt like Pop at all, but I should qualify that. I do not like crowds and at the time we went to Pop it was jam packed. I was frightened by the sheer volume of people. The shop and eating area being linked meant that that area was always packed.
Although we had a room in the 50s building the noise levels were awful. The walls seemed to be paper thin and yet we never had this problem in the AS hotels. Our considerate neighbours smoked right through their holidays and every day the room stank of smoke. Pop also had a big problem with the buses. We were led to believe that the buses were amongst the best in Disney, but one morning we waited 40 mins in the searing heat for a bus. They did know they had a problem as everyone was up in arms. It wasnt sorted until about 1 day before we left.
I was totally frustrated by the end of our stay. We loved the AS hotels but my favourite will always be Music. I love it. It is just the right size for me and was nowhere near as crowded.

Re: pop century or all stars?
We have stayed in the all star sport, but not the pop.
We liked it when we went, but that was when our children were younger they are 18 and nearly 15 now and think its abit to much in your face for grown ups.
Great if children are young though!

I've stayed at the Music several times and have a special place in my heart for it. I enjoy the food court and the set up. The shop is nice too. I guess I am comfortable there, as I have stayed in rooms in the Calypso, Jazz, and Country areas.

Re: pop century or all stars?
I've stayed at All-Star Sports 2X and Pop Century 2X. I personally liked Pop Century better room and overall decor of the property-wise but I like the Sports cafeteria better. Sports is also easier to navigate around the property but I thought Pop Century was quieter. I think Pop Century may have more pools, too (if you're into that sort of thing).
I think the All-Star may run a little less per nite.
