International phone use
Ok please explain this to me like I am 5 years old

If I wanted to call and text someone in the UK, what do I need to do? Is there anything I put before the phone numbers? I have been told I can do this by my cell phone carrier.
Also, if someone wanted to text me and they are from the UK, what would they do? Would the same thing apply if they were actually inside the US and texting/calling me? Or is there a different protocal then?
TIA!I am a travel agent with The Magic For Less Travel. Please private message me if you'd like help booking a trip!

Re: International phone use
Actually Johnie you would have to preface that with 011 which is the international access code. In my experience I am sometimes successful with a text message and sometimes not however.
From the UK to text you, they would enter 001 followed by area code and number, although sometimes just the 1 by itself will work.

Re: International phone use
I use the 01144 and miss off the first 0 of the country code.
