      Staying at universal?

Has anyone stayed at any of the universal orlando hotels? I was wondering how they compared to Disney?

We dont really do much at universal but without pleasure island we may like to spend a few nights at citywalk

We've been stayed at Royal Pacific several times and Portofino Bay once. The hotels are beautiful and certainly have a deluxe feel. We love the front of the line access at the parks.

City Walk (at night) is a completely different atmosphere from Pleasure Island. It is more....well not Disneyfied.

We stayed at the Hard Rock one night. Got it for FOTL passes and easy access to Citywalk.

We didn't exactly make the most of it, too tired! But it was fun and if the price was right we'd do it again, especially as if there's a large group a room with FOTL can cost less than buying express passes.

      Re: Staying at universal?

We stayed at the Royal Pacifc Resort and LOVED it!! Even though this is the cheapest (slightly) of the 3 hotels it was just beautiful! The pool area was fantastic. THere was a zero entry pool and a hot tub. You get a newspaper daily and there is a boat ride or walking path to CityWalk area.
We cannot say enough good things about US hotels. They truly are classy!

Ok, one bad thing, $15/day for parking. That stinks.
