Re: Toilet rolls in DVC accomodation?
Here are some things you will need to bring, if you intend to have meals or coffee in your villa/studio.
You will need coffee filters, the small ones. Coffee (you are given one or two days supply, I don't recall, but it's not much) whatever you use in your coffee, salt and pepper, something to wrap leftovers in. We usually bring ziplock bags or a roll of cling wrap. Laundry detergent if you want to do clothes. There are new single sheets out now that have soap and softener all in one. Extra soap and shampoo. You are given some at the outset, but it's replenished only on day four, day eight, etc.
Now, all that is needed IF you are staying on points. If you are there on cash, then it's like a regular Disney resort and you won't need the extras from my understanding.
Of course, if you plan on dining in your villa/studio then you'll need your food supplies. Publix is a very short distance away (there are several) and so is the new Whole Foods Market. Both have excellent selections (with Whole Foods being a bit more upscale, and has more organic/health food choices available) of prepared foods, and gourmet selections.
Hope that helps a bit!Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Re: Toilet rolls in DVC accomodation?
Thanks Tink thats great info!
We won't be cooking (we only have a studio anyway) but will have the odd breakfast so was planning on WholeFoods market to get some bits - I have been in the one in London and I love it so looking forward to that!
What washing detergent do you use for your washing machines? It always confused me when we stayed in a villa! I know we get free use of the washing machines as we are in a studio, do they sell packs there as that may be an easier option as at least I know I am using the right stuff - I use liquid at home that goes in the drawer.

Re: Toilet rolls in DVC accomodation?
You can use liquid or powder laundry detergent. Common US brands are Tide, All, Cheer and Arm & Hammer (like the baking soda). I favour Cheer at home, but tend to use Tide at WDW, as it's possible to purchase a small bottle (two loads, I think) at Target. If anyone has allergies, you might want to bring some from home. You can premeasure either liquid or powder--just be sure to double-bag the liquids!

There are a lot of different brands of fabric softer and dryer sheets. I rarely use either one. Let your nose be your guide--they all seem to work reasonably well. As with detergent, bring your own dryer sheets from home if anyone has allergies.

Re: Toilet rolls in DVC accomodation?
There are the new ones that I mentioned Lisa.
Purex makes them, I think? You just buy a packet of them, they come in sheets. The sheet gets thrown into the washer and then into the dryer. It has everything you need right there. No extra bottles, or powders, or bleaches or softeners.
You are going to LOVE Whole Foods!!! They have a great array of cheeses and several different set ups of prepared food (rather like a buffet line). The Deli is great too and so is the olive selection.
