I really like your plan of eating early and then late. Gives everyone enough time to be ready for the big dinner. With a snack or something light in between.

Wow, what a trip!How does being away from school for that long work out? Do you have a break around then? I always wondered if the Uk was on more of a trimester schedule? I know your summer break starts later than ours. We're usually out at the end of June til the first Wednesday in September.

The term starts the beginning of September through till Christmas, with 1 week off in October (Half Term). Our trip is one week either side of the half term so we are taking him out of school for a total of 10 days, which is allowed with prior consent from the school.

We are certainly packing a lot of things in. Don't know when we will next have the chance to go back so got to do it right this time

Thats fantastic!! All your ressies look great, will this be DS's first trip? We will take our DS out of school for 4 days this Sept. as well to go down. He is entering 7th grade here and will probably be one of the last times we will be able to do so. High School will start in two more years. Our schools would have a fit for 10 days but I think family trips are almost as important!! So much to learn and the memories these trips yield are priceless!!!

This is both our kids first trip. DS has been to Disneyland Paris 4 times & DD who will be 3 when we go has been to Disneyland Paris once.

My wife and I have both been twice before only once together though but our last trip was 9 years ago, so we all can't wait

I think kids learn and lot through experiencing different places, and it is important to spend quality time as a family. We are going to get him to keep a diary whilst we are there, a trip report of sorts, so he will have something to show his school when he gets back. I might even publish it on here
