Now, I don't want to be a bore-bag here, but thought it might be useful for you to read some of these articles and tips for staying safe online.

Do's and Dont's for Online Safety

• Do use an initial (Mine would be J) or nickname online
  
• Don't post your full name (E.G Mickey Mouse)
• Do be polite and helpful to members
• Don't give out any personal details, such as; Your home adress, E-mail Adress, Mobile or Home Number, Full name, College/School name, or your street's name.
  
• Do remember that not everyone is who they say they are
• Don't reply to any Private messages or emails from people online, without a parent present
• Do tell your parents or a forum host if you suspect someone is not who they say they are.
• Don't give out your Instant messaging/Social Networking adresses without the permission of your parents.
• Do stay safe and have fun!
