Just had letter from school saying it will be closed next Wednesday and Thursday because of strike action.

I think it's council workers. They provide cleaners and maintainence staff for schools so if they don't go in then the school can't open due to health and safety issues.

Heard nothing from Steven's school yet. But they weren't affected by the recent teacher's strike so fingers crossed it will be ok.

Didn't know there was going to be a strike so by that I can assume we are not affected. You will of course be allowed to laugh at me for assuming incorrectly if I turn up at the school to find it shut some time next week!

Dd is in special needs school so lots of lsa's. They are striking so school would not be able to cope with the children. Dinner ladies, cleaners and school buses are affected down here as well.
