I'm not sure this is the right place, please move me if need be.

But how do I know if a thread has been read? Or if something new has been posted? Do the letters get brighter or are they lighter? I can't pick up on the pattern, but I have been extremely busy lately too though.

    Hi there,

It depends how you're reading really.

If you just look at the forums, threads with new posts in them will show up as bolder. Things have been so busy that you can get pages of threads ALL bold, thats why its hard to pick up a pattern at the moment ;-)

If you do new posts, you should see only threads with new posts in them in that list
