    I guess it depends what you use them for - most people just use their computer for e-mail and internet , photo storage and occasional word processing. Some for games

    for what I use mine for the AMD just hasn't been up to the job - so each t o their own

    you do like to stir things don't you you naughty chap

    There are documented situations in which amd + associated chipsets handle much less sustained IO than Intel. Ive personally had incompatibilities, granted I push stuff pretty hard

    millions of people very happy with amd, can't argue, but I'm not one of them ;)

    yeah you intel lot are so easy to wind up

    i just buy them simply for cost, for what i use my desktop for it works great.

    my lappy is a core2duo so i do buy them

    i was just saying for what jules would use it for and to get more of a higher spec an amd quadcore would do just dandy :) for just a few 100 quid with the rest of what i mentioned :D
