    See, I can't really see me having a lot of use for a 50mm The lack of zoom worries me Do you find that you use it a lot?

    All the time. You just move rather than zoom. What would u be taking photos of mostly Josh?

    Main photography is of Niamh, Tortoises, Family occasions and Ebay things. I think perhaps not zooming would be better than I thought now I think about what I actually use my camera for

    I say get a 50mm, had a quick look and they are more expensive for Sony, there is a1.8 and a 1.4 with about100 squid between them, I would save up for 1.4 that would be fab in low light. Read some reviews there may be a good one by another manufacturer too

    I just brought that lens whilst in the States. Fantastic shots taken with it so far. It is absolutely great for low light shots that still require a fast shutter speed. I waited untill I as over there as I was able to pick one up for just over 90!
