shhhhh, it's for Jamie. Don't tell him! He hasn't been around here for a while now so i hope i'm safe in posting this!

Need a laptop for around 250-300. He'll want to download music, play games, Facebook and such like. We don't have wireless right now but will be getting it hopefully in the not too distant future.

    Any ideas please?

Our old laptop was an Acer and it was a proper workhorse. Went on for years that thing did.

yeas, my niece has a Dell and she loves it. I think it's an Inspiron. They did have a problem with it once but it was sorted quickly and all is good.

My first laptop (which I still have!) was a Toshiba Satellite. Thing is a tank! It's so old (1994!!!) that it can't access the internet, or from my understanding even be upgraded to do so. It still uses those little floppy disk things.

My work laptop is an IBM Lenovo, and for all my complaining about it, it is a sturdy machine. It gets dragged all over the country, tossed under airplane seats, plunked down on whatever surface is available to work on... and stays on nearly 24/7 as I almost never shut it off.

Welcome to our new home! It's a lovely and friendly place. If you haven't joined yet, do register. It's a great place to make friends and share all those Disney secrets!!
