are you sure you're not tapping it by accident?
Glad you got it all worked out Terry!

That may be configurable, Terry!Originally Posted by Slowhand, post: 183347
Check out this web page and video (again... sound like a broken record, don't I):
Tom (... Gawd... me... giving Windows instructions! Help!)
Glad you were able transfer them.
I love windows 7. I like the new desktop photos. The garden theme is my favorite.
Indeed it does. I hate the track pad things! Never use them unless I absolutely have to.Originally Posted by Slowhand, post: 183364
Carol can't make any sense of them either. In fact, I bought her a new wireless mouse for Christmas since she was so enamored of my Apple Magic Mouse. Of course, her's has real buttons on it rather than a touch surface like mine. She's still a bit technically challenged and couldn't quite wrap her head around a mouse with no buttons!
BTW Terry, what specific model of laptop did you get her? I thought you mentioned it was a Toshiba but I don't remember the model. There's been a couple of instances 'round the web of people stating that the Trackpad configuration program on their Toshiba laptop had disappeared after installing Windows 7. Just wanted to do some more checking to make sure you've got everything you need to get it to work the way she wants.
Tom (... buttonless!)

Tom (... yeah, Scottish. I know. Don't shoot me!)
I use a track pad exclusively, and really like it. :D
You can easily get a mouse though, Slowhand. Just pick one up and no more worries about the track pad.
You can configure it too, though. It's under settings somewhere. (Yep, that's tekknikal assistance)! :D :D
They really are quite nice once you get the hang of it. Hey, if I can do it, anyone can!
(One of the main reasons I like the track pad is no one bothers to ask to use my laptop as they HATE using the trackpad)! (The truth will out, eh)?
