How long are you off for this time? Carol and I haven't figured out just what we're going to do this year.
    If anything.
    We`re there from April 20th - May 14th Tom.
It would be great if you & Carol could manage to squeeze in a few days down there at the same time.

    What are companion seats please?
My companion seat award was earned from spending a certain amount on my Virgin Amex card within a 12 month period.
Basically, so long as you purchase a full fare seat [in either Economy, PE or UC] then you get a second seat free so long as you make a booking within 12 months of earning the award.
Having said that, in my case it worked out a lot cheaper not to go for that option but to buy 2 economy seats and then use some of our FC miles to get the upgrades to UC.

Just reading that gives me a headache. It's like trying to sort through all the options at WDW.

I do miss the days of "if you want this, you pay that." Plain, and simple. Like me! :D :D

    Very true Tink.
There`s quite an art to sorting out the best deal.
Normally I just call VA and say "My wife and I would like to fly to Orlando around X, and return around Y, give or take a week or so".
I then let them know what awards I have under my belt like FC miles/companion seats etc. and then leave it up to them to suggest a few options.

Ah, that makes sense Slowhand. Give them the general info and let them work it out.

It is a full time job though, this organizing holidays (and work travel)!

Now I know why the world has Travel Agents! :D :D
