    :D

Yesterday an old friend of mine was driving along a busy road when he saw a lady lying in the gutter. So he stopped to help. Turns out it was a good thing he did because this 64 year old lady had been lying in the gutter with a broken hip for 45 MINUTES while car after car drove past.

What kind of nation have we become. :(

But your friend stopped. 45 minutes is a long time to lay in pain and fear, but in the course of what "could have been" it's less than an hour.

I hope she is safe now and on her way to healing!

You've got a good person for a friend, Dawn.

OH MY GOD, When I read this it made me feel sick, I can't believe people would just drive past and leave her, well done to your friend for stopping.

In a world of cell phones this is unbelievable. Do you have a system similar to our 911 in the UK?

That had to be some of it Helly. And those that may have seen "something" may not have ever considered that it was a living person.

I do wonder how she got there though... that's the puzzle.

    I'm speechless. I'd like to think no-one noticed her but somehow I can't :(

I s'pose we must look on the brightside that your Friend DID find her
