An old couple discover that for 50 years the Chinese old vase, that they didn't really like much, and used as an umbrella stand is rare and worth half a million pounds. Splattered with paint and cracked because it wasn't cared for, it could have been worth double that amount in mint condition.

It is an 18th century *lantern* vase made for the Emperor Qianlong and may possibly have once been owned by Florence Nightingale.
