    The DGD's use it as a swing.
    I wonder if the swing idea would burn calories

    We used to have a rowing machine. It was great for stacking the clean laundry on. :sigh;

    Hi Shelly! We have a treadmill that we bought from the classifieds. If you're not sure what you want I suggest looking at the classifieds. The bargains there are great! (especially in the summer and right after the holidays) I like the elliptical when I go to the gym as it's easier on my knees. I HATE running but feel that it gives me such a good workout.

    Not sure why, but I read this as "MALfunction machine." Perhaps it's my complete and utter aversion to exercise.

    Having said that, we *own* an elliptical. Jon bought it before we moved in together. However, we *go* to the gym. Because even thought he BOUGHT an elliptical, he PREFERS the treadmill. When we GO to the gym, I prefer to work out on the elliptical. Which I could DO at home since we OWN an elliptical, but Jon doesn't like to go to the gym alone. Does that NOT make sense to anyone else?

    Of course lately, the only thing I've been doing when we get to the gym is tanning and a bit of weight training. This is mostly because I've started taking the train to work and walking to/from the train station which is about 5 miles roundtrip each day. So by the time I get to the gym I just want to gouge Jon's eyes out.

    Is that normal with exercise?

    Well of course I'm strange. Duh. But can I still gouge his eyes out?

    I would check because I think it's a law that differs between states. You'd be fine in Mississippi but not sure about Connecticut.

    Well, if he's on the treadmil he'll obviously be running....that should legally make it a game of sport...I mean who's to say he can't get away from me, but if I can catch him I should be able to gouge away....
