I am currently researching moving abroad and I have never been so completely overwhelmed with information. Schools, housing, transport, cost of living, mobile phone networks, you name it, I've tried to educate myself! The amount of different terms used in the most basic of things just leaves me dizzy. For example when looking at property here in the UK usually it's listed as 4 bed, 2 reception room etc but in Singapore they list it as 2+1 or 3+2. What does that mean?? In some ways we are very lucky now with the internet giving us a myriad of sites to get as much info as possible but for me it just leaves me feeling more confused!

Not sure exactly why I posted this. Maybe it was this or scream!!

Don't you find it a little worrying that on an Island not much bigger than the Isle of Wight there are 64 Starbucks! Only one Ikea though.

DH's work. From what I have worked out from a couple of sites it the first number is how many rooms are bedrooms and the second number is smaller rooms that can be used as a study etc. Too small to list as a bedroom. Usually the more modern places all have a bathroom per bedroom. But lordy they come at a price. I saw a fantastic house (they call them bungalows) that was on the market for S$22,000,000!
