This is going to be very photo heavy so sorry about that - trying out lots of settings and framing in preparation. (please click to make them bigger they look better but they are still heavily reduced)

I just adore this lens and the problem is I fear it is going to spoil me for all my future lenses

    Eider

    Eider Under

    Moorhen

Hawaiian goose (rarest in the world apparently - Thomas loved these)

    Drippy duck

Shiny duck ( the probably have a better name )

    Ruddy duck ( amazing colour)

    and a lady pheasant

Again the clarity the lens brings these to is astonishing - worried this might be getting a little long so will post some more in another post ... hang on

Long Tailed Tits - love these little guys spent ages trying to get the depth of field right on these

    Great Tits

    with tongue

    Blue Tit

    Reed beds for something different

Lichen to see what the macro was like

    and..

    THE END :D

    You'll be glad to know

Sorry to bore with so many bird pics, but am trying to get this just right for the trip - its amazing how many I have to shoot at the moment just to get it how I want it - its going to take a LOT of time and practice to get this right I'm sure

you're getting the hang of it for sure! were you holding the lens or was it on the tripod? i have a shaky hand that lets me down sometimes. Must be the Gin
