    Hi,

I got Canon Powershot S3 IS....

I am thinking of getting an upgrade so that I can buy SLR, however, I have not done much of photography as I felt the camera itself was fairly limited.

Any advice on which SLR is suitable for someone like me who like to explore and learn more about photography than just simply point and shoot.

    Jeff

Both Canon and Nikon have good entry level DSLRs. I have a Nikon D40 and I love it (it's an entry one as well).

Like FD says. Both Canon and Nikon have excellent entry level DSLR's. I'm a Nikon bigot myself but that's just my own personal preference. Interestingly enough, I just happened to see this article today. And it's current! Only came out two days ago!
