Mac compatible, ooooooh yes! in fact, 64bit on the mac for the first time ever and written PROPERLY

"Investors are said to be optimistic about Adobe's next quarter, as CS5 is expected to outperform its predecessor. CS5 for Mac will feature a new version of the Photoshop graphics editor rewritten in Apple's 64-bit object-oriented Cocoa framework"

Well if you buy the whole suite, dreamweaver, flash blah blah then yeah. I bought photoshop on its own many years ago since it's the only thing I use out of the suite and that wasnt a BAD price + you can upgrade upto 3 versions behind (I think is the rule). So I tend to wait until the latest version I can and then upgrade to keep it current. Im definitely planning on cs5
