    Hi de Hi.....

I'm wondering whether campsites have limits to tent sizes on their pitches. just toying with the idea (again) of a spot of camping and have found a lovely 3 bedroomed with central living area 10 person tent which is rather large but i have no idea on pitch sizes, i'd have to have electric hook up naturally so i can use my hairdyer amd mobile phone charger!

Also, do they let you put up a small gazebo or similar?

when we all went camping, brit and claire had big tents M there wasnt a problem at all, most if not all, not sure, cater for all manner of sized tents :)

we had a gazebo too to do the cooking under in devon :)

cool1 i looked at some camp sites and you pay extra for a gazebo.

now what i really really want is a brand new caravan with my own shower and loo, but i have zero chance of getting it so i said i'll compromise and get a big tent with lots of room for mod cons!!

Some do impose restrictions on tent size - more and more recently I'm afraid as tents are getting bigger - our tent is 7m long (although not very wide) and we have been refused at some sites.

We have camped at Shamba in Ringwood a couple of times
