The past two weeks my camera has (rather annoyingly) been in for repair (I swear I have some sort of electromagnetic field that breaks things) because the imaging mirror/prism thing has slipped and all of my pictures didn't appear as they did in the view finder and where mis-framed by what looked about 10-20cms in 'real terms'

Niamh has decided to get up and walk of her own accord this week and I've not been able to get *any* nice photos! Arggh!

My photo's aren't exactly great with the DSLR but I don't like using a point and shoot anymore, the results are just not the same

I've missed out on SO many opportunities. I miss my camera

I'm *so* careful too My friends always spill things, drop their phones, cameras etc and never habe problems. I keep all of my stuff in cases, take care not to drop them (or drop things on them) etc etc and I just don't know why it always happens to me

Stop kidding about that electomagnetic thing. I can't wear a watch for that very reason. I've had problems with other electronics too. Everyone I work with knows that my electronic stuff goes buggy at any given time... gremlins, but I honestly believe it does have something to do with the electrical impulses or whatever.

Doc, don't laugh at me, ok?

It's not just you, it appears to be a common problem with the a200. My wife's starting doing it whilst on holiday last year and when I started looking into it it appears to be well known.

My wife didn't mind though it was a good excuse to upgrade to her shiny new a450

Shame about all your missed picture opportunities though.

Phone Argos today, who passed said they'd ring me back when they knew a bit more. They rang their repairer who'd been unable to fix it so sent it onto Sony. Sony acknowledged the fault and will apparently be in touch with me I'm hoping I am getting a replacement rather than a repair
