    Am I the only one who doesn' really like HDR images - I appreciate them technically but its like comparing Pot Noodle to a 7 course meal to me

    It truly depends on how they're done.

    You can do a "natural" HDR which is just a normal image but with more tonal range than you'd normally get. You may not even recognise it as HDR you may just think WOW

    Then you have the ultra HDR images which are unnatural and work for some people and not for others

    So my conclusive useless answer I like some and not others

    Well thats fair comment I suppose was a blanket statement - saw one this morning of a cottage on flickr and it just looked so unreal I couldn't look at it long - found it a little unnerving

    subtle layering can really make an image sing though I agree
