    It's EXTREMELY good for the enthusiast or pro photographer which is exactly the market Apple developed it for.

    If you just want to get your photos on there and quickly organise, optimise, then no it's not worth it and iphoto is the better bet

    Lightroom by Adobe is its direct competitor and some people prefer that! Lightroom works on pc and mac as well which is useful

    all these things take time to learn, i haven't got to grips with Lightroom yet, so still using DPP

    I save them on my computer and back them up onto a external hard drive, but I also print mine. Every so often I log into Walmart and print them. To me that's what you are suppose to do with pictures. I like albums.

    My wife use Lightroom, amazing piece of software, pricey though!! Great for organising everything and editing all in one place. We took our laptop with us last year and imported everything off of the memory cards into Lightroom everynight and then backed up to DVD every couple of days. 4500 photos in total!!

    dont rely on just a dvd for backing up simon never good policy that, they can and do fail

    Would be a little better than just keeping it on the laptop though Better than taking an external HDD
