They are a pretty pastel colour. Most of the eggs laid nowadays are a variation of brown, but you can of course get breeds that lay white eggs, cream coloured ones, and even a sort of pale lilac.

Honey and Treacle are a hybrid that was developed a few years ago by crossing certain pure breeds (hybrids tend to lay more eggs), and you take a chance as to what eggs you get with them - 80% of them lay either green or blue eggs, and 20% lay creamy coloured or other pastel colours. We were really pleased that ours lay two different colours!!!

I must admit that when we first started giving those ones away to work colleagues they thought we had painted them
Wow Deb, thanks for the education. That must be really cool. All I have ever seen are the brown and white eggs.

    Do colored eggs taste different?

Here's one of my baby. He is getting his summer haircut today (ie: buzzed).

Our bunnies never did, no, but I have heard that it is very easy to train them to do so.

Bunnies typically "go" in one area of the cage. So you just kind of wait to see where that is and then put the litter box in that area. We always used a pen with the mesh bottom so they were away from the mess. We always had an area of plastic mats for them to lay on though, so they didn't hurt their feet.

Ann, Basil is doing great!! He somehow seemed to get himself better, and the trouble he had with his tummy and his joints, that the vet thought would always be there and shorten his life, seems to have sorted itself out thank goodness! The only thing wrong with him now is his naughtiness! Oh, and a stupidly curly tail!

FD, yes the eggs taste eggsactly (groan) the same as other ones!!

    Isn't Arthur looking handsome
