    Nope.

OK I've had the first phone call and passed the initial interview. :D

Steven's karate instructor fosters puppies for the local rescue while they await rehoming. This morning she bought her latest charge to karate class. His name is Spencer and he is a 15 week old cocker spaniel puppy. Well it was love at first sight for me and Steven. And Adrian and myself have been talking recently about getting another cocker as company for Willow. Have just spoken to rehoming officer and Spencer has been reserved for us pending a successful home check. I have to phone Monday and book an appointment for this.

Spencer is 100% black. Absolutely stunningly gorgeous. He only came into the rescue on Wednesday so he's not even out for adoption yet - just sheer luck that we went to karate this morning.

Now, for the home check thing. How tidy should my house be?

    Wow! He sounds beautiful.

As far as the home check thing goes, I'd think it would be more important that Willow was clean, happy, and looks well cared for. When we got Sherman from rescue years ago, they took one look at the cocker we already had (Cookie) and didn't ask any other questions. They could tell just by looking at her that we had a good home.

Tom (... dogs are just children that eat off the floor!)

Yeah I'm thinking that as long as it's reasonably tidy and Steven's toys are out of dog reach that will be ok. Obsessively tidy would be no good for a dog's home but obviously not to the other extreme where the whole place is a tip and stinks of dog (which it doesn't :D )

Oh and I have photos of Willow at all the lovely places we go for walks and holidays.

    I'm very nervous.
