was down your way last season, great lake down there, got hooked into a huge carp, trying to get it in the line snapped pinged my carp rod back to me it hit me on the nose and forehead, and had a right nasty bruise and black eye

Looks like a nice lake to fish.

Never knew you were an angler Mick, we've not been fishing for ages.
Do you fish generally or are you a carper?

heck yeah i started fishing nearly 30 ago, didnt go for 15 when i got into IT and started backup last season, boy did i miss it, now ive got lots of time on my hands i go every opportunity :)

i fish for anything thats there really but most of the lakes we go to are predominantly stocked with carp. last week i broke my own personal record, got a nice mirror carp of 8lb 12oz

Alan started our DD Lizzie off this year, she loves it and has already caught a 7lb common I'd better get bankside again soon or she'll be better than me

What do you do with carp? Not eat them surely? Unless UK carp is a different fish than the US carp?

Nice shots, Mick. Thanks for sharing them!
