Would you accept the explanation for a surgeon ' sorry I killed your wife but you know I've alot on my plate at the moment, me and the missus are having problems and , ya know my heart wasn't really in it' ? No you wouldn't and these individuals are paid an estimated 10,000 an hour (pre sponorship) for their expertise.

The defending was non existant the skill and ability was absent

The British like to aportion blame and make excuses at every turn

who slept with whom is irrelevent, it simply is - this is their job and we make too may excuses pandering to them.

    Wage cap is right

I also believe - utterly that if they had taken a team made up of lower league boys who play for their clubs on a wet tuesday in grimsby you would have seen more passion that that lot showed - they are rich to the point that there is no motivation to do anything fr anyone other than themselves, and I could not care a bit about their sordid social lives
Here! Here! Very well said. This applies to so many US teams it isn't funny. When did a ball become more important than a surgeon, a teacher, a nurse, heck a nurse's aid who provides personal care?

Go for the "minor" leagues every time. That's where real team sport is, where real passion is, where the game is. I see it in US baseball. Minor leagues are the true champions of the game.

Who gives a leap who slept with whom? If that's the sort of person they are, that's on them. Play the game with your heart and soul or get out.

Again, US teams are absolutely no better.
