When a human female has a hysterectomy they can't do anything for weeks. My mum wasn't allowed to drive for 6 weeks and couldn't lift anything heavy for months.

My dog had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and was back to normal in 2 days.

    What's that all about then?

Its amazing isn't it. I am always amazed when i take my sick cats to the vets. They have a jab and within hours are all better. Why don't we get jabs like that.

Me too. I can normally get an appointment for the cats the same day as well, they don't have to wait two weeks

i bet willow can't jump around yet !!!

just go about your normal business holding your stomach muscles and see how much they're used for.

it's just a guess really- don't know much about dog anatomy

    But she can!!!

Took her in to the vet at 8am on the Monday. Picked her up at 4pm the same day. She had a pain killing injection that lasted 24 hours. She had no more medication and by Wednesday she was jumping on and off of the sofa and flying around the garden like nothing had happened.

I want human medicine to be like that.

maybe animals have more endorphins to overcome pain as a coping strategy?

we have lost some of that as we have evolved although after extreme accidents people manage the most incredible things
