Ah. I see? Don't like doors do they, our torts? :D

Eight weeks until there are hatchling torts? So, how are you going to decide who gets to take one home and care for the baby?

That's going to be hard, isn't it?

Not looking forward to that bit. I'm going to keep them up until their first hibernation is done and then I'm going to have to sell them I'm going to obviously vet potential homes and I'm going to try to drop them off when I can so that I can see the enclosures that they'll be going to.

Is there a local veterinarian well versed in Tort care that can assist you with finding good homes?

Maybe you can make a little side business of it? Build the enclosures, ect. along with having the torts to place?

There is enough demand throughout the country to be honset I'd be willing to keep any that I could not sell (for instance if one was born with some sort of disability or something) However, if the UK did get to the point where they where like dogs (a lot up for re-homing each year) then I'd not incubate the eggs in the future.

My uncle might take one or two which would be nice as I'd get to see them. However, there are various breeders lists (including my own, which was the first of it's kind ) that I can put my name on :)
