    Hello guys!

    It's been a while :)

Quick question I'm hoping you maybe able to help with.

We arrive on 20th September and leave on 4th October. That is 14 nights and 15 days.

We have a 14 day ticket. If we were to use the ticket on the saturday arrive does that mean we will be unable to use our ticket on the Saturday we leave as this is the 15th day?

I can't seem to find an answer anywhere, I suspect that we will have to choose between the first day we arrive and the day we leave but wanted to double check.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Hi Chris, welcome back!

Yes, that's correct. The fourteen day ticket will let you in to the park for fourteen days, with the first day it's used for entry being day 1.

How about spending the first day at Downtown Disney?

Thank you I thought that was the case!

To be honest by the time we have collected bags and got the the resort they'll probably be only time for something to eat, a quick look around then bed.

My brother who is going with us wanted to know if he was able to use the ticket the first night so he can take his girlfriend to see wishes on the first night.

We had planned to use our ticket on the last day in Disney quest.

Good to see you back Oreo :) why not go to the Polynesian or the Contemporary and watch wishes from there? It would give a nice taster, the contemporary pipes in the music too :)

Oh, just thought I'd point out that the extended Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Diagon Alley) will be open by the time you visit. If it's something you're into, it may be worth taking a day out in the middle of your trip to see it.

Then you could spend your first and last day at the Disney parks.

I thought it was 14 consecutive days not 14 days total? in which case this wouldn't work :(

    Yes, you're right, of course.

I've booked USA tickets for years now and I'd forgotten the expiry clause.

i really wish we could get non expiry on our 14 day tickets. We could make them last 2 holidays then I reckon.

One of 'my' podcasts mentioned that - they've apparently changed the way non-expiry tickets work.

The old non-expiry meant that you had the days you'd bought until they were used, even if there was years between the first use and the last use.

The new versions is that you can opt to use them years later, but they expire within 14 days of first use.

I've got to look into this a little more, as I don;t see the difference between that and a standard ticket - even they will not begin until first use and I don't remember it stipulated that the ticket must be activated by a certain date.

Me too. What I heard on the podcast can't be right.

Ticket websites are still selling Disney tickets without expiration, and the explanation is that unused days can be used later, or when you return to Florida.

You can purchase the non expiration option for the US tickets but they aren't advertising it any longer. You have to know about it to ask

Try some third party websites. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link them from here, but you're only a Google away.
