    (because I know you are all interested in world affairs)

    Australia yesterday joined the club of nations who have had a female leader of their government!!

    Julia Gillard became our 27th Prime Minister.

    I thought it would come one day - but not quite so soon!
    Next trip - Bali! (March 2015)

    I think she is - which is probably a bad sign, because most of the Australian public don't think like me!

    It will be interesting to see how she deals with the top job - but then she had to be tough and savvy to get this far, so I think she will do well.
