    i would have to ask for you know who's permission to change the kids name and there is noooooooooooo way he would let me

    so im afraid they will have to stay as they are

    You can't simply add your name to theirs! Wow. Didn't realize that.

    You could become RC (if you aren't already) and have them take your maiden name for their confirmation names. :D Ok, so that's probably not the best idea, but it could work!
