Thank You Johnie for being there for me and to everyone for your kind thoughts and pixiedust . Yes, hes ok, Thank God ! I was still pretty shaken when I got home . I slept through the worse part of it . He was taken by ambulance to our local hospital and transferred to St Lukes . The staff was incredible . I can't say enough good things about them .
Dr Bailey explained everything to us . From the test to holding him . She asked whom in the family has acid reflex and Kim & I both put our hands up . She then said, ah, I see both sides . I said, yeah, like right now I feel like I'm going to puke . She walked over took my coffee out of my hand and threw it away . She directed me to the gift shop for Tums & a Ginger Ale .
Jared will now be on a special formula which has rice in it . He had an IV of Zantac to dissolve what was inside his tiny digestive system . We have to hold him over our shoulder to burp him and hold him like that for 30 minutes after each feeding . And he has too sleep elevated . We're getting a wedge tomorrow .
And yes , the fractured collarbone was undetected after birth . The doctor said its common when they are helped out . Gee Whiz !!!
Also, I have to add what great parents Pat and Kim are . Kim hears every whimper and although she really panicked, Pat took control and called 911 . Patrolman Lance (a friend) recognized the address and in Pats words was there in a flash . He took Jared , pinched his nose and breathed into his tiny mouth . Jared left out a wail . Pat said he got on his thingofabob and radioed and expletive word too the EMT's or I'm taking this baby in the patrol car .
Thanks Again to you all ! Going to lay down now and try to catch a few winks .

My mother in law said in Europe & UK its common to have a wedge . When she gave birth, she was distraught the US didn't have them here . Tells me over the pond is smarter than wee .

poor little mite - so much to deal with so early!

I am so glad you have such good people supporting you Tinker!

And I too send you much love and support!

Gareth had reflux as a baby and it has recently reappeared in his teens! But the Zantac does really help him so I am sure it will help Jared too!
Next trip - Bali! (March 2015)
